finding peace…

I know I’ve been MIA for far too long, my lovelies, but I’ve been swamped & haven’t been able to get back here.  Not too much to say just at the moment, but I’ve been looking inward & finding peace lately… so I wanted to share a bit with you.

From the first time I read it, this has been one of my most treasured inspirations. It is a beautiful life affirmation; and most importantly, not specified to any one religion. Where is says “god” just insert whatever form the divine takes for you.

Let YOUR light shine!

Our Deepest Fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other
people won’t feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of
God that is within us.

It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.

  1. What a nice poem, I’m just a little put off by all the references to God. I believe in a God and Goddess but I don’t think that is what this poem expresses. However it is a lovely piece of poetry. You must love poetry my darling dear because you find the most obscure but appropriate poems to share with the rest of us. Bravo. Brightest Blessings.
